Soft Tailoring

We have seen it at the runway shows like of Bottega Veneta, Dries van Noten, Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney or Proenza Schouler: With spring 2023 tailoring is becoming popular again thanks to smart, rather loose-fitting shapes. And it is the long blazer from the 90s which is celebrating a comeback, today combined with a wider version of the classic dress pants, in soft pastel shades dominating the suiting landscape.

In premium fashion ‘quiet luxury’ is set to be 2023’s key trend. It stands for elevated basics and pared-back stylings with which the revival of tailoring goes together perfectly.

The signature suit

Class and comfort – my preferred suit outfit for this spring season means a new-shape blazer and nonchalant trousers of the Dutch label Penn&Ink N.Y.

Of a light beige-grey these self-evident signature pieces represent the brand’s approach of combining the American sense for basics with a more sophisticated European style. A plain tank top might downdress the look.

Outdoor layering

If it comes to ‘quiet luxury’, so-called luxe layers co-define the look.

So for outdoor occasions I select a lightly oversized trench coat of the brand Blonde No.8. The company, known for its qualitative materials and stylish details, has developed itself a trend tip in the outdoor fashion segment.

Accessory highlights

Anyone knows me as a high heels’ victim. And I have not given up, not even throughout the sneaker years. This spring shoes of timeless elegance, along with your wardrobe, celebrate a fashionable revival. Icons like the Romy pump from Jimmy Choo are legit again.

As a brand, Prada undergoes an impressive rebirth since the design collaboration between Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons for the last fashion seasons. With sunglasses from their spring/summer 2023 collection you may out you as a real fashionista uniting three top trends of this season: geometric shapes, metallic frames and highlights in white.

Another beautiful detail chosen for a style-conscious outfit finish means a high-quality fabric hat from Mayser. Founded in 1800, the company has successfully transformed its traditional handicraft into our today’s classic nonchalance.
