Love-to-detail Nostalgia

For 2023 the topic of retro, romanticization and nostalgia defines an evident style trend also in the interior area. Remembering, sometimes nearly glorifying the beauty of past times, means to enrich my home with some selected precious items inspired by for orchestrating the feeling.

Golden times

Furniture with golden accents or interior accessories from gold, very reduced and exclusively distributed in your home, give the atmosphere of nostalgia something sophisticated.

An amazing little sidetable from the Italian Bolzano, where woodcraft is still of great importance due to the abundance of this natural material within this region, beautifies my dining room. Artfully painted and ornamented with gold it represents the neoclassic interior style.

This part of South Tyrol is also known for its woodcut art. Also from there hails a mirror imaginatively carved, impressing with a frame from flowers and birds.

Still lifes

Wallpapers with still life motifs, mainly from flowers, decorating and thus highlighting one single wall in a room, are a beautiful element to celebrate the retro style.

Using such a painting differently, I selected one of them for an elegant food tray for my kitchen interior. And ovengloves from the Dutch interior company Essenza Home perfectly match into its design.

Et voilà!

Floristry

An always attractive and not complicate way to romanticize your home are harmonious flower arrangements. A single variety like the hydrangea ..

.. or a blossoms’ composition such as from bushroses, anemones and ranunculi in all shades of rose which perfectly reflects the wanted feeling.

And I love to continue the colors of these flowers in candle jars of multifaceted cut glass from the Viennoise interior boutique The Home Store.
