Plants and flowers, your natural allies

Of course, potted plants mean the first significant idea for the beautification of your summer places. This lively type of decoration is just too appealing!

Particularly impressive are the flowers and colors of thunbergias, begonias and dipladenias. They climb along pillars and walls and shine in yellow, orange and pink, simply flattering the eye of the beholder.

Even garden flowers such as hydrangeas, arranged in a vase on a colorful tablecloth, evoke a bright, warm atmosphere – the options of decorating your surroundings are manifold.

Angels say hello

Summer makes you dreamy. This pleasant circumstance also brings angels into play as charming interior elements.

Textiles and more

For my patio furniture I preferred to choose beautiful fabrics in toile-de-jouy optic which in the interior design industry is even used for wallpapers. The french term means ‘cloth from Jouy’, named after the original production site of Jouy-en-Jonas en France.

Originally made from cotton and printed using a special copper plate process, the classic fabrics are two-tone, with red or blue motifs on a white ground. The decorations include flowers and vines, animals and ornaments, as well as complete scenes.

And even functional clothes like your garden boots can meet your wish of being accordingly stylish outdoors. Mine I got from the shoe brand Bisgaard, in fact made for children, though even available in bigger sizes, and serve both purposes perfectly. On top they prove to be attractive terrace accessories.

Fruity arrangements

Only recently I discovered the creative possibilities of decorating my terrace with seasonal garden fruits.

Presented in and on, specially for this occasion selected bowls and plates, on a table surface in mosaic look, they themselves turn into design objects.

Greengages in a sparkling glas dessert cup or apples arranged on a shiny gold decor element from the house interior brand Bloomingville seduce to enjoy.

Summer mocktails

In the mood for a refreshing drink?

In this season I like to mix, on the basis of sparkling tonic water, alcohol-free cocktails – so-called ‘mocktails’ – from citrus fruits and character-giving ingredients. A pink dream mixed from freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and refined with tasty blueberries, or a green-yellow one made with lime juice as well as lime and cucumber slices in it – which one would you prefer?
