Classics 2.0

A look at the archives is an often popular source of inspiration among designers for the new fashion and especially bag trends – and was used by many large fashion houses for this fall/winter 2021 season. So some new classics could be seen on the runways. At Gucci for example the ‘Jackie 1961’, Valentino given the ‘Roman Stud’ a new look, and Chanel launched the ‘11.12’, a bag that strongly reminds of its classic models.

And the result of my consultation of my private archive?

Louis Vuitton – we all know this great luxury brand and its irresistible it-pieces and collections we adore to get. When I left the company group LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) where I spent great years as Brand General Manager of Givenchy Parfums and Cosmetics Germany my farewell present was a beloved Louis Vuitton handbag.

For fall/winter 2021 I am reloading my bag with a still real accessories item, a fashionable LV leather strap for shoulder or cross-body carry for hands-free styles.

Et voilà – my new cool classic!
