Hot Summer Tales

Beautiful summer days. And the season’s most stylish fashion trends. There is hardly anything to add to that. So let us dive right into its varied stories.

Color roulette

This summer is simply colorful! Whether one color styled all-over or smart color-blocking – the designers’ actual collections direct the theme spectrum as a true self-confident statement. And, not least on TikTok, color consulting is making its comeback.

With ‘hello sunshine yellow’ you will be definitely  en vogue. As the color acts as a mood lifter, it gives us a real dopamine kick. Its shades range from rich yellow, neon yellow and lime to butter yellow.

For me, this bold color really comes into its own through the celebration of color blocking, by pairing it with its complementary color on the color wheel, namely with dark purple. And thus creating a visually striking high-contrast drama: a trend-in-the-trend voluminous skirt in yellow, combined with a – equally hyped – bow blouse and beautiful peep toe heels in violet.

It is all a matter of mix and match of how even unexpected color roulette combinations harmonize well. So another possibility here would be to choose a light lilac-colored top or shoes in rose.

Dolce Vita

My head-to-toe look in one of all these radiant signal shades showcased on the world’s runways and reflecting the entire rainbow: maritime blue, beautifully staged, for instance, by Fendi. The color’s palette perfectly captures the joy of the Italian way of life and the unbridled spirit of high summer.

Who does not think of Capri when experiencing and looking at this impressive color flash?

A new body line

In their spring/summer 2026 shows, many designers experimented with slightly exaggerated, nevertheless relaxed cuts. Particularly fascinating: avant-garde silhouettes with a low hipline as seen at Chanel, Balenciaga or Chloé.

My favorite highlight? An adorable dropped waist dress in a pastel ‘ballet color’ where the horizontal axis is defined by a flounced skirt. Complemented with elegant tone-on-tone sandals.

Simply a dream ..

Intellectual gray

One surprise trend color of summer 2026: sophisticated gray.

Christian Dior was one of the first designers who turned gray into a statement. Years later, Jonathan Anderson in his first summer collection for the house took up the theme and delights with a wrap-look dress.

Even here I prefer to choose accessories like high heels in the same hue. A safe-bet style with great impact!

Elegant restraint

Alongside all the colorful designs of this summer, creations in ‘cloud dancer’, the pantone color of the year 2026, signify the silent stars in today’s fashion world.

Flowing fabrics, light cuts and extravagant details in this shade convey effortless lightness. This fashion style radiates a sense of joie de vivre.

Thus dressed in brilliant off-white, in an adorable all-over look, everyone’s attention will be definitely yours ..

Garden style

In this season, magnificient floral prints as creations exude a true retro vibe. Even designers who are known for minimalist looks drew inspiration from the topic on their spring/summer catwalks.

Ruffles, refined drapings, applications and even delicate embrodery – none of that is missing. Patels twine even around my sandals.

And as for the world of colors, those romantic silhouettes and fabrics meet soft as well as more vibrant color palettes.

Let’s go practical

A somewhat different kind of fashion tale chapter: utility-style looks. Whether at Prada, Stella McCartney or Hermès – inspired by workwear and protective clothing, with practical cuts, functional silhouettes and solid fabrics, these outfits practically invite you to roll up your sleeves and get to work!

The absolute must-have companions within this trend for this summer are jumpsuits. With platform sandals and aviator sunglasses in combination, these accessories add a light sophisticated touch.

History, contemporarily interpreted

Many a designer has also surprised with her or his reinterpretation of classical and historical elements and looks from folklore and traditional costumes. The bar jacket at Dior, hour-glass shaped, dirndl looks at Prada with embrodery details, puff sleeves at Antonia Marras enchant with retro charm even nowadays.

Fashion is writing all these stories this summer.
