All our fall/winter 2021/22 fashion essentials – they may look still better with a little bling! Seen on the international runway shows, herewith my personal jewel highlights I am going to wear this season, all selected during my last stay in New York City!
Trend 1: Chunky jewelry
We’ve seen massive chains around for a little while now, on handbags as well as on our necks and wrists, and they will also be our style companions throughout this fall and winter.
One iconic jewelry brand which is definitely linked to New York and its vivid atmosphere is Tiffany. Last time in New York I bought this classy Tiffany curb bracelet, a real eye candy!
You may wear it standalone, with a matching necklace or ring, or even in a mix of gold and silver.
Trend 2: Long necklaces
Lariat necklaces had a major moment on the runways, and it is their length that brings some unexpected drama to any fit.
Personally I prefer more fine and lighter jewelry pieces celebrating this trend. And I define this sophisticated style with an ultra-long necklace over a dress, blouse or even fine knit.
As Country General Manager of Gucci Watches and Jewelry for Germany and Austria I also relaunched the house’s fine jewelry line. One of its gorgeous jewels I felt in love with was a layered necklace created as a real one of a kind. Thereby inspired some young goldsmith designed me a beautiful necklace for the actual season!
Trend 3: Chandelier earrings
Another true jewelry must-have are showy sparkling pieces, glamorous and elegant.
New York is also known for its awesome flea markets. A few of them perfectly run the gamut from precious art and design to beautiful vintage fashion and jewelry. Out there I purchased these gorgeous sculptural florals, a pair of earrings which will brighten up every outfit on a cold winter’s day. Okay, maybe for the moment wearing them on my couch.
